NEWSPAPERS FOR GENEALOGISTS

Are you a genealogist who has experienced the frustration of searching through microfilm copies of archived newspapers in order to piece together your family history?  I've just become aware of a source for digitalized versions of newspapers.  GenealogyBank.com has over 5,500 newspapers that are fully searchable as an aid for locating birth, marriage, death and general news articles to support your genealogy research.

On August 17, 2011, I participated in a webcast on this topic sponsored by Legacy Family Tree.  They have posted a recording of the webcast that can be replayed for free during the next 10 days.  From the The Legacy Family Tree website you can also register for upcoming free webinars of interest to genealogists.
