Antique Festival Treasures

I thought I would show you some of the treasures that I discovered at the Michigan Antiques & Collectible Festival.

During the 1940s through the 1960s, florists used ceramic planters shaped like faces to enhance their bouquets.  These two children are examples of these "head vases".
The one on the left was produced by Enesco
and is often referenced as a "Delsy Tissue Girl"
because she resembles the child used
in that company's advertising.
The head vase on the right was produced by Lefton.

Here is an antique Birthday postcard.
I had not previously seen this postcard image.
The vendor told me there is a whole series
of artist's palette cards so I will need to keep watch
for others in this series.

What could be more charming than this fashionable lady
 driving a new-fangled automobile
to deliver your Birthday greetings.

This postcard has a sweet image that could be used as a general greeting when keeping in touch with friends or family.

This stenciled char is the perfect size
to display postcards or a place for a doll to rest for a bit.
I couldn't pass this up when I spotted it at the back of a booth.

A bit of Christmas in July
from these postcards with Santa images.

I love the little head vases! They are adorable. I checked out your granola, too, and it sounds perfect. The cherries would be soooo good in it. Hmmmm, I have some in my pantry, too.

Hi Debra!

Those little girl vases are new to me. I have only seen the fancy lady ones that look much like an original Barbie doll with their fat black eyelashes. I even got one while in the hospital as a child.

Love that painters palette card as the brushes look three dimensional.

Thanks for sharing at my party this week :)

I love the 'North Pole Wireless Company' postcard! Isn't that beautiful.

Thanks for stopping in at Cranberry Morning. Yes, that chocolate orange cake also reminded me of the chocolate oranges at Christmastime! :-) That's what gave me the idea for the combination. I figured if it was good in the chocolate oranges, why not a Bundt cake?

Debra, fun to see your vintage finds. My favorite is the doll chair. Something about chairs ~ adult, child, doll ~ that intrigue me. Thanks for visiting HFTS. ~ Sarah
